Former petroleum minister, Diezani Alinson-Madueke, loses N34 billion to Nigerian government

A federal high court in Lagos has ordered the final forfeiture of about N34billion linked to former petroleum minister Diezani Alinson-Madueke.

The monies forfeited are N23.4 billion, N9.08 billion, and $5 million (totaling about N34billion).

Justice Muslim Hassan who has earlier on in January 6 this year ordered an interim forfeiture of the funds has now ordered a final forfeiture order on the funds. The judge said he was satisfied with the EFCC's claim that the movies were gotten illegally.

Mrs Alinson-Madueke served as the petroleum minister in the past administration under the government of former president Goodluck Jonathan
