Lagos bus conductors to start wearing uniforms in March

The national president of the Bus Conductors Association of Nigeria, Israel Adeshola, has said that bus conductors in Lagos state will compulsorily wear uniforms, name tags and badges from March.
He made this known in an interview with the New Agency of Nigeria saying that the Lagos state government under governor Akinwunmi Ambode has approved the wearing of uniforms and badges for yellow bus (danfo) motorists. He also mentioned that the approval of the state government was gotten on Monday.

“We are in collaboration with Lagos State government on the issue of badges and uniforms for commercial conductors, which was finalized on Monday.
“This is because we don’t want to start without the government’s approval. So by first week of March we will roll them out,” he said.
According to him, with the vital information on the badge, any conductor involved in crime can easily be identified and apprehended.

He also stated that the idea is to be tested in Lagos state before other states can follow suit.
