#AHMusicReview: Absolute Hearts Music Review

It’s another beautiful Friday and like we say TGIF, how has your week been? Hope the stress hasn’t been much but just in case it has, I’m sure this week review will put you in a good mood as we have some decent songs to review on Absolute Hearts Music Review.
Without further ado here are the songs we are reviewing this week;

1.      Falz-Baby-Boy: I just have to say there is no stopping Falz at the moment, while we are still nodding our head to WehDoneSir, the Bahd Guy himself continue to wax strong with another powerful track titled Baby Boy and of course Sess was the guy behind the production. The rating for this song is 9/10.

2.      Saeon ft. Vector x Ycee Slim x Iceberg x Terry Apala –Aii Remix: This is another female rapper I respect a lot, Saeon decided to kick off 2017 with a remix to one of her hits and she employed the help of some powerful artiste on this track. I never thought Terry Apala was going to blend in but he did. Big ups to every artiste on this track, the rating would be 8/10.

3.      Iyanya – Hold On: As expected produced by Don Jazzy, Iyanya returns with another song titled Hold On. I have to say after listening to Up To Something I expected more from Iyanya. To be honest this is a very decent song in fact I enjoyed the way Iyanya was able to switch up his voice and that gave the song this cool feeling. Rating would be 7/10.

4.      Chief Obi ft. Olamide – Carry Go: This is one of those rear times where I would feature an artiste on this review after listening to just one song from the artiste. This is my first time listening to Chief Obi and I have to say I was blown away. Songs like this make me proud of Nigerian artistes and how much our sounds have evolve, the production on this is song is dope and of course Olamide was also up to the task. The rating would be 9/10.

5.      Iceberg-Slim ft. Davido x Shatta Wale x Terry Apalla x Wale-Turner x L.A.X – Wave Remix: Iceberg Slim brings us the remix of his hit single Wave which originally features Davido and this remix had this likes of Shatta Wale, Terry Apalla, Wale Turner and L.A.X all joining in. I would say it is a decent remix and once again Terry Apala surprised me but L.A.X to me wasn’t really up to par. The whole Rasaki thing he tried doing didn’t go well but you might not really notice because he came through towards the end. All in all this is a good remix and the rating would be 8/10.

6.      Qdot – Apala: Qdot makes his first appearance on our review this year and I must say I was blown away with the amount of creativity he kept into this song and also big ups to Citiboi for the production. Qdot took us way back as he decided to go all Haruna Ishola on us with this one and I must say he killed it. This is one Alujo Toh Quality (would like to hear a remix with Terry Apala), the rating would be 9/10.

7.      Dr. Sid – We Up: I have to say it's been a while since I was impressed by Dr Sid, I think the last time was Kabeyesi. We Up which was produced by Mavin in house producer Altims is really a decent song and a good way for Dr. Sid to kick start 2017 musically. The rating would be 8/10.

8.      Lil Kesh -No Fake Love: If I was to judge by the first verse of this song, I was have written this song off because it was just too weak and it made the chorus sound off but for the second and third verse Kesh came in hard with that energy that we know him for and that helped the song to a 8/10 rating.

9.      YQ - Gbanjo: YQ is one artiste I respect a lot, not your regular artiste that drops songs every now and then, but when he does expect nothing but good music. This song is just too brilliant and matured and big ups to the producer, this production is dope that it was hard to notice that mad over you sound. The rating would be 9/10.

10.  Yung L – Pop Up: Yung L isn’t slowing down at all this year, he is back with and hit track titled Pop Up and trust me this song would pop up in every club, nice work from Yung L, the rating would be 8/10.

11.  Shatta Wale - Ayoo: Shatta Wale is back again and I just have to say Shatta is really working hard this year. Ayoo is a decent song with a very nice instrumental and as expected Shatta raise the bar. The rating would be 8/10.

12.  Kcee - Romantic Call: Kcee kicks off 2017 with another brilliant song. I haven’t really been a fan of Kcee but I must to say he outdid himself on this one. To me this is Kcee's biggest hit after Limpopo and Tiana. Brilliant song with a very brilliant production from Dr. Amir. The rating would be 8/10.

13.  Toby Grey - Applaudisse: Toby Grey is back, after having a very successful 2016 she kicks off 2017 in the same fashion. Honestly I was very skeptical when I saw this song but something just told me to listen I mean this is Toby Grey she has never disappointed and she didn’t. Big ups to TyEmmy, you killed it on the production. The rating for this song would be 9/10.
