Borussia Dortmund have
revealed Mario Gotze is responding
well to treatment for a metabolic
disorder which has ended his season. The 24years old has not featured for
Dortmund since a substitute appearance against Mainz on January 29, and was
ruled out indefinitely after being diagnosed with the problem last month.
He is now on
an individual training programme and, if the rehabilitation continues to go to
plan, the aim is to resume squad training in early summer and then be fully fit
for the start of next term.
Dortmund chief executive Hans-Joachim Watzke said on the club's
official website “BVB wishes
Mario Gotze a fast recovery, also in the name of their 10 million fans.”
