Caroline Wozniacki Out Of French Open

Caroline Wozniacki has crashed out of the French Open after a three-set defeat to Latvian teenager Jelena Ostapenko the quarter-final stage. The Dane took the first set on a rain-hit day at Roland Garros, but struggled with the constant delays as Ostapenko went on to win 4-6 6-2 6-2.

Ostapenko recovered from 2-1 down in the final set to eventually breeze past her opponent, serving out to love to seal her passage to the last four. She will play Timea Bacsinszky in the last four, the Swiss who ended the final French hope in the singles with a 6-4 6-4 win over Kristina Mladenovic on Philippe Chatrier.
