West Brom has no plan to sack Alan Pardew

West Bromwich Albion have no immediate plans to change head coach Alan Pardew for someone else. The situation with Albion's decision makers remains as it was before their latest Premier League defeat, they do not think sacking Pardew right now would improve their chances of staying in the top flight.
As well as being costly, they feel it may hamper the process of deciding who can best lead the team next season. A number of possible candidates are thought to be unwilling to take over at The Hawthorns with the team eight points adrift of safety at the foot of the table.

Albion chief executive Mark Jenkins returned from China in time to see the 4-1 loss to Leicester this weekend. He had been in the Far East for much of the week, reporting to the club's hierarchy and discussing plans for next season and it appears he was given no direct instruction to make changes to the coaching structure or personnel.

Pardew is due to hold informal discussions with members of the Albion board tomorrow, but such meetings are regular when the head coach and his bosses are at the training ground together.
