Marvel Is Doing Something With Blade

 
We’ve heard from Wesley Snipes himself that the studio still has plans for Blade, and there have also been murmurs of a possible Netflix show in the works for him. So far, nothing has panned out, but if we’re to believe Kate Beckinsale, Marvel does indeed have something going on behind the scenes.

Cast Update: Jennifer Hudson, Nas and others On Board For Monster

 
John Legend’s Get Lifted Film Co. is producing the upcoming crime drama Monster and this is a film based on the novel of the same name by Walter Dean Myers, about a young man accused of a crime he claims he did not commit. With filming about to begin in New York, the cast has been rounded out to include Jennifer Hudson, A$AP Rocky and Nas.

Forest Whitaker Added To Black Panther

 
The cast of Black Panther continues to expand, with several more names joining the film and today we have news that Forest Whitaker, who’s been cast as an elder statesman in Wakanda named Zuri. Aside from him, we also have Daniel Kaluuya as T’Challa’s friend W’Kabi, and Florence Kasumba as Ayo, a member of the Dora Milaje who had a minor part in Civil War.

Barry Jenkins To Write A Screenplay

 
Writer/director Barry Jenkins is already lining up his next projects, which include penning the screenplay for a film about real-life boxing sensation Claressa “T-Rex” Shields. Shields was a 17years old boxer from Flint, Michigan who went on to become the first American female boxer to a win a gold medal at the Olympics, and the first American boxer period to win an Olympic title twice in a row.

TMZ reports that Brad Pitt will not be prosecuted for the incident on his private jet ... in fact, we've learned there was never an investigation in the first place because FBI sources say there's no case. TMZ broke the story.. after the L.A. County Dept. of Children and Family Services started its investigation into allegations Brad struck his 15-year-old son on a private jet, the LAPD was notified and turned the matter over to the FBI, which has jurisdiction.

It’s being reported that Adam Shankman is in negotiations to direct Disenchanted, which will have Amy Adams reprising her role as a fairytale princess who lands in the real world. Disenchanted picks up ten years after the events of the first film. Princess Giselle finds herself questioning her happily-ever-after with beau Robert, a New York divorce attorney who becomes her dream prince in the first film. Giselle’s doubts are supposed to accidentally trigger events that will have serious repercussions in the real world as well as the fairy-tale kingdom of Andalasia.
