Formula One: Hamilton wins British GP

Lewis Hamilton has won the British GP after beating Nico Rosberg, Lewis increased the title lead after an inspired pit call.
This win would be is third as he had to overcome both fast starter of the Williams drivers as well as the rain showers which struck Silverstone. The race pivotal moment came when Hamilton made a late call for intermediate tyres which saw him overcome a spirited charge from Rosberg and another slow start from pole position to claim his 38th F1 win.

His Mercedes boss Toto Wolff labeled him “the complete driver” after an inspired pit-stop gamble that nailed him his third win. The Englishman had to battle back from falling to third at the start of the race to stretch his championship lead to 17 points.

The win was a very emotion one for Hamilton who held back his tears as he race through the finish line, “I don’t tear-up very often, but on the last couple of laps I was getting watery eyes…” he said. He also added that “I wasn’t crying… It was just emotions because I could see so many people cheering.”
