Liverpool Striker Out For Eight Weeks

Nigeria and Liverpool Ladies striker Asisat Oshoala has been ruled out for at least eight weeks to a knee injury.

The current BBC Player of the Year picked up the injury when playing for her club last Saturday and now she is said to be out of action for eight weeks. She was replaced in the 53rd minute in their 2-1 loss to Notts County last Saturday after she copped a knee injury.

This is a big blow not only for her club but also for the Super Falcons of Nigeria as Superzee is now set to miss out of the return leg for the Olympic qualifier against Equatorial Guinea in Bata on August 2, 2015. The player who has scored three goals since joining Liverpool ladies in January was not dressed in their 2-0 win against Everton in the Continental Tyres Cup and might not also feature for the club's remaining games this season.
