The Sacking Continues As President Sack DG and Others

President Muhammadu Buhari is not slowing down in what many has now describe as a house clearing move as he has just sacked the DG of NIMASA and he has also approved the dissolution of the boards of Federal Parastatals, Agencies and Institutions.

Patrick Ziakede Akpobolokemi, the former DG of Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) appointment was terminated by the President about some few hours ago and this sacks takes immediate effect .Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity Femi Adesina said "He is to hand over the management of NIMASA and all government property in his possession to the most senior officer in the agency who will remain in charge until a new Director-General is appointed".
No reason has been said to why the former DG was sacked but close associate to the President said it has to do with the President visit to the US which is also said to be the same reason behind the sacks of the Service Chiefs.

President Buhari has also approved the dissolution of the Governing Boards of all Federal Parastatals, Agencies and Institutions and this would take effect from Thursday. Special Adviser on Media and Publicity Femi Adesina said "until the boards are reconstituted, Chief Executive Officers of the affected parastatals, agencies and institutions are to refer all matters requiring the attention of their boards to the President through the Permanent Secretaries of their supervising ministries". He also added that "the dissolution does not affect Federal Executive Bodies listed in the 1999 Constitution".
