Match Preview: Chelsea VS Manchester City Kick Off 3:45

As a fan of the English League this is the kind of weekend we don’t want to miss, today marks the beginning of Super Sundays in the Premier League and which other team deserve the honour of entertaining us if not the Champions Chelsea and the Runner-up Manchester City.

As you countdown to the kick off of today’s match, Absolute Hearts would be doing a preview into the match as we try to analyze the areas and players who can win the match for both teams.

Compared to last season Chelsea have started the season on a very average performance after getting a draw against Swansea on the opening day which also came from the loss to Arsenal at the Community Shield. Manchester City however, had a very good performance on the opening day after gaining all three points against West Brom with a 3nil score line.

For City to win towards game they would need to win the midfield battle and that can only happen if David Silva is on top of his game just like he was last weekend. Silva is the man that has been behind the success that City has had in recent seasons though many of the city fans would pick the likes of Aguero and Yaya Toure ahead of the Spaniard but as a pundit Silva is the man that makes everything easy for the Noise Neighbour of Manchester.

David Silva has won every trophy in English football, The Barclays Premier League, the FA Cup, the League Cup, the Community Shield and all has been with the City team. Though his luck as an individual star in the league hasn’t been noticed that much, as he has only been selected for the PFA Team of the Year just once after five seasons in England.

Even duo Silva receives nowhere near the recognition of Hazard or Messi but he is just as vital to City's as these players. It is Silva who, in the heart of midfield, makes City tick, even if he does tend to play in the shadows of Sergio Aguero and Yaya Toure.

As for the Champions It was no secret that Eden Hazard drove them to the title last season and his effort was rightly recognized as he almost won every individual award available in England. Hazard had the highest number of passes in the final third last season.

From open play last season, Hazard created the most chances in the Premier League (252), he had a total of 9 assists from open play and he suffered the most foul with a total of 113 as 23 opponents were booked against him. He was able to manage a total of 4.8 dribbles per game which by a distance is the highest in the league which makes him arguably the only player that went through last season without enduring any significant slump.

With Chelsea having injury problems concerning top striker Diego Costa there is no doubt that the Blues would have to lean largely on Hazard’s effort if they would want to carry the day.
So there you have it, as you await the game, tell us which team you believe would carry the day.
