This
would be the ninth week since we started the Absolute Hearts Weekly Music Review and before we go into today’s
review, let me quickly tell you that we are going to be doing something
different on week 10, so you might want to watch out for that.
I
am really excited about this week because we have plenty songs to review and the
icing on the cake, we have another 10/10 rating. For this week we shall be
reviewing songs from the 12th to the 18th October, here
we go
1. Churchill ft Terry G x CDQ - Malaika Mimo Remix: I didn't hear the original version of this song but I am sure it can’t be better than this remix. Terry G and CDQ killed the song that already has a very dope beat, this is a very good street dance song and the rating would 8/10.
2. Viktoh ft Lil Kesh- Skibi Dat: Finally Viktoh has woken up and with Skibi Dat he joins the likes of Kcee, K9, Patoranking amongst others that have used the Alkayida sound. Good production from B. Banks, Lil kesh also made sure the song also ended well as Viktoh started well. I rate this song 9/10
3. Leriq ft Shaydee - I Like It: You all know once it is Leriq we just have to call the paramedics, and yes with the help of Shaydee, he murdered this one. Very nice production and Shaydee once more prove that he is as good as the best. I rate the song 9/10.
4. Timaya X Don Jazzy - I Concur: Killertunes killed the production of this song but to be honest except the fact that the song was done by Timaya X Don Jazzy there was nothing really spectacular about the song, that is not to say the song isn’t a good song. I rate the song 7/10.
5. BaseOne ft Xblaze - Wondering: First of all this is a cool Hip Hop beat and that credit goes to Xblaze himself. BaseOne who has been regarded as the hottest rapper at the moment used his powerful Yoruba flows to kill this joint and took the rating for this song to 9/10.
6. Chopstix ft Reminisce x CDQ x Ceeza - Banging: Once again Chopstix serves us with another nice joint and this time he relied on the services of Reminisce x CDQ x Ceeza to do justice to this song and they all did very well. The rating would be 8/10.
7. Dotman ft Olamide - Yes Melo Remix: I didn't hear the original version of this song so I can’t say which is better but I must say that this remix isn’t bad at all. The Alkayida tune song was produced by Fliptyce and Olamide did his best on this one. Rating would be 8/10.
8. Shaydee - Carry Big Load: I have personally said it that if Shaydee decide to stay constant he would be up there with the likes of Davido and Wizkid, this dude is full of talent. Carry Big Load would be Shaydee's first personal entry on our review and with Drey Beatz on the production, this song rating would be a 8/10.
9. Terry Tha Rapman- Ashimapeyin (Freestyle): TR is one of the greatest rapper the industry has seen and he jumps on Wande Coal's Ashimapeyin and he just killed it. Freestyle or not this is a good song and the rating is 8/10.
10. Cynthia Morgan - Baby Mama: I have always loved this chick and she has never disappointed me. Baby Mama is another hot joint from the Kingston property Nigeria full breed and the Chopstix produced song rating would be a 9/10.
11. Phenom - Shanowole: There is no doubt that this former Lighthouse artiste is good, lack of consistency is what holds him back. Shanowole is a very powerful song from Phenom and I rate this song 9/10.
12. Seyi Shay ft Banky W x Iyanya- Right Now Remix: I love the original version of this song but I love this remix better, this is what a remix should feel like. I must say I was impressed by Iyanya on this song. To me, he was the one that killed this song, I have never been a fan of Iyanya but for this song I think I would be a fan. Banky brought what is steadily becoming his trade mark on featured song, Rapping, and he did well though I would have preferred he sang. All in all this is a beautiful remix and I give the song a perfect 9/10.
13. Godwon ft General Pype - Overload: If I heard this song on the radio I would have said the song belongs to Pype because he did most of the work on this song, that is not to say Godwon didn't bring his A game but the dopeness of this song was General Pype. 8/10.
14. Darey ft Asa - Inside of You: I really don't know how to describe this song than to say 10/10, it would take another Darey to do a song like this. Darey is a very creative person when it comes to sound and with another creative artiste Asa on this song, Inside of You becomes the second song to have a 10/10 rating on our review. Congratulation to Darey whose album Naked just got released.
15. Ajebutter 22 - Hard For Me: Omo Pastor crooner and Studio Magic gives us this cool heartbreak song titled Hard For Me. Ajebutter 22 is letting all the girls out there know that guys also go through heartbreak and it is also hard for us. Once again nice production from Studio Magic and I rate this song 9/10.

of You by Darey ft Asa, and to what was more difficult to pick is the
recommended song of the week which goes to Ajebutter
22 with the song Hard For Me. Remember
