There
is no denying that some great movies were released in September, the notable one
been “Straight Outta Compton” which I am sure you all must have seen by
now but if you haven’t please go check it out. As for October, these are the
movies you all should see;
1. Bridge of
Spies
This is a collaborated project between Steven
Spielberg and Tom Hanks and the
film which Hanks played the role of an American lawyer James B. Donovan, is tasked with negotiating the release of a U.S.
pilot whose plane went down in the Soviet Union during the Cold War. If you
love politics, then this is a movie you would enjoy.
2. The Martian
Directed by Ridley Scott, Written
by Drew Goddard and Andy Weir, The Martian is a movie that talks about Astronaut Mark Watney who was presumed dead after
a fierce storm and was left behind by his crew during a manned mission to Mars.
Watney survived and finds himself stranded and alone on the hostile planet,
with only meager supplies, he must now find a way to signal to Earth that he is
alive. Stars in the movie include Matt
Damon, Jessica Chastain and Kristen
Wiig.
3. Crimson Peak
This is a story about an aspiring author who is torn between love for her
childhood friend and the temptation of a mysterious outsider in an aftermath of
a family tragedy. This movie is directed by Guillermo Del Toro and Star
appearances include Jessica Chastain,
Charlie Hunnam and Tom Hiddleston
4. Goosebumps
Directed by Rob Letterman, written by Darren Lemke and Scott Alexander, this
movie talks about a teenager who teams up with the daughter of young adult
horror author R.L. Stine after the
writer's imaginary demons are set free on the town of Greendale, Maryland. Star
appearances include Jack Black, Odeya Rush and Halston Sage.
5. The Last Witch Hunter.
Directed by Breck Eisner and
written by Cory Goodman, Matt Sazama,
The
last witch hunter is all that stands between humanity and the combined
forces of the most horrifying witches in history. Vin Diesel, Rose Leslie and Elijah
Wood are part of the stars in this movie.
6. Steve Jobs
Directed by Danny Boyle, Steve Jobs is a Biopic movie takes us behind the scenes of the digital
revolution to paint a portrait of the man at its epicenter. Michael Faabender, Kate Winslet and Seth Rogen are part of the stars in this movie.
7. Pan
Peter who is a 2-year-old orphan is spirited away to the magical world of
Neverland, where he finds both fun and dangers, and ultimately discovers his
destiny -- to become the hero who will be forever known as Peter Pan. This
movie is directed by Joe Wright and stars the likes of Levi Miller, Hugh Jackman and Garrett
Hedlund.
8. The Walk
Directed by Robert Zemeckis and
stars the likes of Joseph Gordon-Levitt,
Charlotte Le Bon and Guilluame
Baillargeon, The Walk talks about a high-wire artist Philippe Petit who recruits
a team of people to help him realize his dream which is to walk the immense
void between the World Trade Center towers.
9. Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension
This would be the fifth entry of the Paranormal Activity franchise
as the makers are hoping to reward its loyal fanbase with answers to the series
ongoing mysteries. Its title implies that fans can expect to be taken into a
new dimension and may get their first real glimpse at the demonic Toby at last.
This movie is directed by Gregory
Plotkin.
10. Our Brand Is Crisis
This is about an American woman who is well-versed in political campaigns
and is sent to the war-torn lands of South America to help install a new leader
but is threatened to be thwarted by a long-term rival. The movie is directed by
David Gordon Green, written by Peter Straughan and Rachel Boynton and star appearances
include Sandra Bullock, Zoe Kazan
and Anthony Mackie.
