La Liga RoundUp: Ronaldo fails to find the Net, 3 Matches In a Row

The El-Clasico has come and gone, left with bruises to the Madrid fans, well they expected it not, they were hammered and battered by a furiated and motivated Barcelona side, who has been in imperious form ever since their talisman Messi, has been out injured and yes, they also welcomed him with a scintillating performance at ther Santiago Bernabeu.

The match began with Barcelona showing intent and within ten minutes they already have gotten a goal, through the boots of Luis Suarez, who scored from 16 yards from an assist from Sergi Roberto who was in place of Messi to complete the trio upwards, he set up Suarez to score his 10th league goal of the season, it was the second goal Real had conceded at home all season, but their impervious defence was torn into pieces by the attacking prowess of Barcelona.

Barcelona continued to gather much momentum as the match continued as they were playing like the home side, in the 39th minute, Iniesta's smart ball set Neymar free, and the Brazilian made no mistake for the visitors second after Benzema has floated a chance at the other end, but Barca made use of it as it resulted to a goal.

The first half ended with Barcelona leading in the Santiago Bernabeu, the last time out, they drew level with Madrid after they got an early goal through Neymar, before Ronaldo equalized, but that wasn't the case this time around, the Mereugues are already behind by two goals, well going into the tunnel for half time talk, I thought they will return back smoking hot, but I WAS WRONG!!!

The second half started with Loud chants of "Florentino, resign" by Real Madrid fans, it was the beginning of another set of bashing as Barcelona continued from where they had stopped on the 52nd minute, Barca took the game completely out of the hands of their host Real Madrid as they got a goal, it was a sensational strike from Iniesta who got the ball from Rakitic and Iniesta gave it to Neymar before collecting it back through a delicious back heel pass to Iniesta as he fired him a rocket into the top hand corner to take the game out of Real's reach.

Shortly afterwards, Rakitic was replaced by Messi, who came in for his 31st El-Clasico derby
With 21 goals and 13 assists to his name, with his entrance into the game, Barcelona continued to be the dominate side, as they kept Madrid attacking prowess of Bale, Benzema and Ronaldo at bay, with chances falling to Benzema and Ronaldo with both players squandering the chances in succession, also Messi was trying to get his 22nd goal, but Varane blocked his shot and the ball went for a corner.

Not quite long, Ronaldo on the 68th minute was gifted a glorious opportunity as he had a one on one with Bravo, but Bravo kept the ball out nicely, Madrid’s search of a consolation goal, tried exploiting the Barcelona defence but most times, they were caught offside.

The game was finally over, Suarez with his second, a move started by Messi, gave it to Jordi Alba, who found Suarez, as Suarez wasted no time as he clipped the ball over the keeper for his second of the game and it took the game away from the host, on the 78th minute, Mr Magic Iniesta was replaced by Munir as he got an applause from the home fans and as Alan. Bow, the commentator said “Iniesta is the conductor”. “The rest are merely the orchestra. He is beautiful to watch.” after the applause for Iniesta came the boos for Ronaldo, and the boos resulted to a Red card, well a Red card for Mr Isco who in annoyance lashed out on Neymar, and caught him on his left knee after Neymar had taken the ball from him and got ahead of him, he didn't even utter a word after the red, well he knew he deserved it, and talk of it, he didn't even start, he came on for James Rodriguez.

As the game came into an end, Ronaldo forced the keeper again into a brilliant save, as it was the last real opportunity of the game.

Well, Barcelona once again have shown that Messi plays or not, they always have a formidable team, as they have managed to score 21 goals during Messi’s absence, this team is the best team of the year for me.
