Arsenal had to a grind out a hard 1-0
victory against Newcastle at the
Emirates Stadium on Saturday thanks to a goal from Laurent Koscielny and the victory saw them move two points clear of
Leicester at the summit of the Premier League and Wenger has since
revealed that the club's injury list is relenting players while he is active in
the transfer market.
“I don’t give much away about transfers because I don’t know, I want to talk about them and hopefully we are capable of doing something in the next 10 days. It’s more about quality than quantity because our players will not stay out injured forever. Francis Coquelin is starting to run, Santi Cazorla will be back in mid-February, and Mikel Arteta is back now so, hopefully, if we can add one and, if needed, two maximum” he said.
Mohamed
Elneny is expected to be the first addition for Wenger next week, when he
is expected to complete a £5million switch from Swiss club Basle. Elneny is
a central midfielder and an Egypt international.
