The Reverse-Flash Is Back

It was revealed last year that Matthew Letscher had been asked to return to The Flash as the villainous Eobard Thawne/Reverse-Flash, and while Zoom is the big bad of season two, this character is all anyone has been talking about ever since.

The official synopsis doesn’t shed too much light but with Earth-2 factoring into this season of The Flash, could he be a doppelgänger? That remains to be seen, but here’s the description for the episode appropriately titled “The Reverse-Flash Returns!”

When Cisco (Carlos Valdes) gets a vibe of Eobard Thawne (guest star Matthew Letscher), Barry (Grant Gustin) and the team don’t believe it. But, after an attack at Mercury Labs, Christina McGee (guest star Amanda Pays) confirms that the Reverse Flash is back. Meanwhile, Iris (Candice Patton) and Francine (guest star Vanessa A. Williams) share a nice moment that brings Iris closer to her brother, Wally (Keiynan Lonsdale). This episode is directed by Michael Allowitz and it was written by Aaron Helbing and Todd Helbing.
