Ronaldo Inducted In To Italian Hall Of Fame

Brazilian legend Ronaldo alongside Roberto Mancini and Gianluca Vialli have all been inducted into the Italian Hall of Fame. The Brazilian, who had spells with both AC Milan and Inter Milan, admits it was the most beautiful, yet difficult place he ever played.

Speaking with the media on Monday after being inducted to the Hall of Fame, Ronaldo said “Football has given me a lot of satisfaction and taught me everything in life. I don't know what I'd have done without it. I think and I hope that I entertained people. I've travelled a lot in my life, but Italy is where I feel most at home. What's so special about Italian football? It has the most important history in the world, as a kid I'd wake up at 9am in Brazil to watch the games. Italian football made me get the best out of myself. It was the most difficult but also most beautiful place I played. My history is beautiful because I can say I played in Italy”.

Mancini spent the majority of his playing career in Italy, playing for both Bologna and Lazio either side of an extended spell at Sampdoria where he played more than 560 appearances. The former Manchester City manager, who also represented his country, is now in charge of Inter Milan who sit fifth in the table 10 points behind table-topping Juventus. Vialli made a name for himself playing in the Italian leagues for Cremonese, Sampdoria and Juventus as well as the national team.
