Anthony Omaka says he is determined to show Sunshine Stars what they are missing when he files out against his
former club on Wednesday. The former Flying Eagles midfielder joined MFM FC in January after his career at
Akure was abruptly ended owing to lack of regular playing time.
The 20years old
is now hoping to prove a point against Samson Unuanel’s side who never believed
in his abilities. He says “I want to take
this opportunity to make sure I show Sunshine Stars that I’m a quality player. Last
season was a bad one for me because I never had enough playing time because no
one believed in my abilities. After quitting the team [Sunshine Stars] I was
also able to rest. Afterwards, MFM FC came to my rescue and I was able to
overcome the torrid period. Tomorrow [on Wednesday], I will give all my best
against them and would make them regret not giving a chance to prove my worth.”
Unuanel’s Sunshine Stars would be hoping
for their first win against the giant-killers at the Agege Stadium in a NPFL
Week Four fixture.
