Lil' Kim Remembers Notorious B.I.G. With New Song

In honour of the 19th anniversary of the death of Notorious B.I.G., Lil' Kim remembers her mentor and former lover with a new track who was killed in March 9, 1997. Kim became acquainted with B.I.G. when she joined his Junior Mafia Crew in 1995.

Teaming up with Maino, the female emcee was featured on the new song Did It for Brooklyn, which they chose to debut on Wednesday in honour of the late rapper. Kim said “He became my friend, my lover, my everything, I was his biggest fan. He knew I would be the number one female artist. He knew I would be the biggest female rapper. I think I inspired him to want to do different things and be different. We were a match made in heaven, like Sonny and Cher or Ashford and Simpson”

Along with the release of the new song, Lil' Kim will also perform a tribute concert in Biggie's honour on Wednesday night.
