for this week;
1. Reekado Banks- Standard: In anticipation of his album which would be named Standard, Reek drops this song titled Standard. Produced by Mavin in house producer Atims and I must say this song isn’t up to standard. By saying not up to standard I mean this song isn’t a hit song but it is a good song, it would need a good video to make it go far and of course plenty of airplays. The rating would be 5/10.
2. Didi ft Mayorkun- Gat Mi: Produced by Pheelz, Didi returns with another beautiful tune featuring DWM artiste Mayorkun. After listening to Alafia, I would say Didi has come a long way and this song is indeed an improvement and it shows he has what it takes. To be honest even without Mayorkun, this song would have still been a brilliant song because Didi killed it. The rating would be 8/10.
3. YQ- Properly: First of, let me say the beat and the production of this song is so on point and YQ made sure he killed with his brilliant vocals. Properly is definitely a hit song and would definitely go far with or without a video and the rating of the song would be 9/10.
4. General Pype - The Seed: It been a while since we heard from General Pype but the 5 star general is back with a banger I must say. Dope beat, wonderful production and of course on point delivery. Without a doubt this is a brilliant song and it would definitely go far, the rating would be 9/10.
5. Mr. 2kay - Woods: Mr. 2Kay isn’t relenting at all, this would be his third single this year (stand to be corrected) and I must say he hasn’t disappointed at all. I have never been a fan of Mr. 2Kay but all the songs he has done this year has been so on point and Woods is another prove of that. Nice tune with lovely lyrics and cool production, the rating would be 9/10.
6. DJ Herny X Wizkid- Like This: This is a Nigeria and Ghana collaboration, Star boi Wizkid teamed up with DJ Henry from Ghana and they gave us this lovely tune titled Like This. This song was first premiered on Drake’s OVO Sound Radio and I must say this is another brilliant effort. The rating would be 9/10
7. D’banj - If No Be Go (Superstar): In celebration of his birthday which was on the 9th of June (yesterday), the koko master decided to drop this loving tune in appreciation to God. Like I say you can’t get it wrong whenever you do godly song and I must say this song isn’t bad at all. The rating would be 8/10
8. BigLITTLE ft BOJ Get Down: To be candid the only thing I don’t like about this song is the beat, listening to the song I felt like I was listening to CDQ First Come First Serve and that immediately took the vibe away from the song. Aside from this bigLITTLE once again showed us the stuff he is made of and BOJ didn’t also disappoint. The rating for this song would be 7/10.
