Robert De Niro Could In For The War With Grandpa

 

Deadline is reporting that Robert De Niro is now in talks for a film called The War With Grandpa. Set to be directed by Tim Hill, the movie begins production next spring and is an adaptation of the Robert Kimmel Smith novel, which follows a young man who loves his grandfather, but also loves his bedroom. When grandpa’s wife dies, he moves in. His bad leg means he can’t stay in the attic bedroom, so guess who gives up his beloved bedroom? The young man engages in a series of pranks meant to drive out grandpa, but the old man is pretty resourceful in returning each salvo.

De Niro is set to star in yet another grandpa film and while we can’t see this one being quite as bad as Dirty Grandpa, it certainly doesn’t sound very promising.
