Ahead of
the November 12 World Cup qualifier with Nigeria's Super Eagles, the
Algerians are sending a five-man delegation led by a top FA official to inspect
facilities in Uyo. The delegation will be received in Lagos by the
Nigeria Football Federation Vice-President Sheyi
Akinwunmi from where they will fly to Uyo to see the stadium, training
pitch and hotels as well as make transport arrangements for their fans and contingent.
The delegation will be in Nigeria from October 12- to October 15.
Earlier this
year, Egypt also did the same arrangement and ran away with a draw against the
Eagles in Kaduna . Meanwhile, the Algerian team proper will land in Uyo
on November 10 for their crucial Russia 2018 World Cup qualifying
fixture against Nigeria.
The players
and their officials will travel aboard Air Algeria flight from Algiers for the
game. An advance party of top officials of the Federation of Algeria Football
are however expected to visit the country earlier to sort out hotel
accomdation and other logistics before the arrival of the main delegation.
The game
will be played on November 12 at Godswill Akpabio Stadium, Uyo.
