First Trailer And Poster For 'Goon' 2

Almost six years on from the release of cult sports comedy Goon, Jay Baruchel and Seann William Scott are reteaming for Goon: Last of the Enforcers, and today brings forth our first look at the latter returning to the ice as hardened enforcer Doug Glatt.

Bringing together the Highlanders for another round of in-your-face action that involves more brawls than actual minor league ice hockey, Last of the Enforcers heralds the directorial debut of Baruchel, after he penned the original Goon script with Evan Goldberg. Story details remain few and far between, even after today’s teaser trailer, though we do know that there’s plenty of new personnel on board for the 2017 sequel, including screenwriter Jesse Chabot.

On the other end of the lens, Goon 2‘s stacked ensemble features Seann William Scott as dimwitted enforcer Doug, Marc-Andre Grondin as Xavier LaFlamme, Kim Coates as Highlanders Coach Ronnie Hortense, and Alison Pill as Doug’s better half, Eva. Beyond that, Wyatt Russell will play the part of Anders Cain, described as a young, volatile hot shot who becomes Captain of the Halifax Highlanders when a pro lockout suddenly sends a slew of new players down to the minors. Last and certainly not least, Elisha Cuthbert plays Mary, the sister of Eva.
