Sunderland manager, David Moyes has praised Victor
Anichebe for his impressive showing in the side's 1-0 win against Watford in their English Premier League
clash at the Stadium of Light on Saturday.
The powerful
striker who missed Wednesday's 1-0 defeat to Chelsea was passed fit to return to the Black Cats side after
shaking off a thigh problem. The former West
Bromwich Albion star was one of the key performers for Moyes' men in the
game.
Anichebe who
made his eighth Premier League start for Sunderland in the encounter came close
to scoring in the 67th minute but his effort sailed wide. Moyes said “Victor was immense in the second half and
probably turned the game for us. Pound for pound, he is as good as any.”
