Victor Anichebe is delighted to see Sunderland bounce back from their
mid-week defeat at home to Chelsea
to beat Watford 1-0 at the
Stadium of Light on Saturday. Anichebe who passed a late fitness
test to feature in the encounter also praised the fans for their support during
the encounter.
The 28 year
old who has made seven appearances for the Black Cats in the English Premier
League scoring three times, was also pleased with the clean sheet his
side kept. It was Sunderland's second clean sheet of the season.
Anichebe
wrote on his Twitter handle after the match “Great way for the team to bounce-back today with a big win and clean
sheet!! Massive shout-out to the fans.” Sunderland are currently 18th in
the EPL log with 14 points from 17 games. They face Manchester United in their next game on Boxing day.
