Watford boss Walter
Mazzarri has played down talks of Nigeria striker Odion Ighalo moving to China during this January transfer window. Ighalo
has failed to reproduce last season's form this term, even getting dropped for
important games as Watford struggle.
Ighalo,
who scored 15 league goals last season, will make his seventh appearance in the
English FA Cup if he gets to feature against Burton. He has also gone 12 games without scoring a goal in the
English Premier League this season. Ighalo who turned down a move to China with
Shanghai Shenhua last summer has seen his scoring form drop having scored twice
in 18 games in all competitions.
He said “I repeat that I will speak only of the
players with us in this moment. I don’t want to speak or hear about other teams
wanting one of our players, Ighalo is one of the players that will
play tomorrow and I’m pretty sure he will do a very good game.”
