Tottenham Hotspur midfielder, Dele Alli, won the award for the
Young Player of the Year at the prestigious London Football Awards for
2017 held on Thursday night. Ademola
Lookman of Everton is the other
player of Nigerian heritage to miss out on that award. The exciting
forward was also nominated along with Alex Iwobi, and the duo of Arsenal's Hector Bellerin and Fulham Ryan Sessegnon.
Chelsea manager Antonio Conte claimed the Manager of the Year, while Tottenham
Hotspur star Hugo Lloris clinched
the Goalkeeper of the Year sponsored by Ideal Bathrooms.
Eniola Aluko was nominated for the Women’s
Player of the Year and her junior brother Sone
is a contender for English Football League Player of the Year.
