It’s a
beautiful Saturday right here in the city of Lagos and it is time for another
brand new episode of Absolute Hearts
Music Review, the number one music review in Africa. The music scene started pretty dull this
week but we were able to pull out some new songs for you and without
further ado here they are;
1. Dammy Krane – On Point: Immediately after his release from jail in Miami Dammy Krane decided to show his fans that he is all about the music and nothing more by releasing a new track titled On Point. The beat and the production of this song are on point and as expected Dammy didn’t dull it at all. The rating would be 8/10.
2. Bracket - Malo: Credit has to go to this duo, since their emergence in the music scene they have not only found a way to keep giving us hit and decent songs but they have made sure they stayed consistent and relevant. Bracket returns with another brilliant song with a very brilliant production titled Malo and the rating will be 8/10.
3. Killertunez ft. Davido - If (Refix): There is no doubt that b IF by Davido will go down as one of the biggest song this year with the amount of cover it has had you can say the song is a monster hit. Super talented producer Killertunez decided to show is Midas touch as he serves us his own version and I have to say he killed it. The production of this refix is fire, the beats and the rhythm everything is lit and the rating would be 9/10.
4. Seyi Shay ft. Sarkodie -Weekend Vibes (Remix): Well it is a weekend so let's get our Weekend Vibes on. The sexy Seyi Shay hits us with the remix of the song and on this one she brought Ghanaian rap star Sarkodie and together they gave us an 8/10 song.
5. Tekno - Samantha: After Folake and Monica, it is time for Samantha, as Tekno gives us another brilliant song with a very beautiful production coming from one of the hottest producers in Nigeria right now Krizbeatz. This is another beautiful song coming from Tekno and at this point I need ask when is he going to drop his album because with all these hits, I think an album is in order. The rating would be 9/10.
6. Falz - Jeje: Falz reconnects with one of his long-time producer Studio Magic and together they created another magic song titled Jeje. As expected Falz dropped another hit song to add to the list of the hit songs he has released this year, the rating of this song will be 9/10.
7. Wizkid ft. Justin Skye – Skin Tight (Refix): Just when you thought Mr Eazi had finished this song, his boss Wizkid decided to show him how well it is being done by dishing out his own version. On this refix, Wizkid featured Justin Skye making it their song together after the Star Boi general had first appeared on her track (You Don’t Know), Justin also came through on this track. The rating would be 9/10.
8. Terry G - Jaye Jaye: Guess who is back, it is Terry G!!! The Apako Master is here with another smashing hit titled Jaye Jaye, from the beginning of this song I could tell it was a monster hit that would take over everywhere. Honestly I don’t know how else to review this song than to tell you that, that Terry G that drove us crazy with song like Free Madness, Apako, Alanta, is the same Terry G that is on this track, mehn this is a jam of life, the rating would be a 9/10.
9. Ice Prince -Magic: Ice is back with another song and this time Ice Prince went all hip hop on with the song titled Magic. Credit to DeeVee for the production of the song, it being a while I heard a song from the former DKM in house producer. The rating of this song will be 8/10.
10. Mo Eazy - Aunty Yeh: Mo Eazy returns with this club banger titled Aunty Yeh, though it has to be said that Mo Easy hasn’t had it easy in the industry but I guess this song might just give him that break. If you listen to this song very well you would find out there is a similarity between it and Young John's Bend Down Select, though they have different beats but the similarity in the rhythm can’t be ignored. All in all I give it to Mo Eazy he did well, the rating would be 8/10.
