Akwa United Ease Past Wikki Tourist

In a rescheduled week 24 Nigeria Professional Football League clash Akwa United defeated Wikki Tourist 2-0 in Uyo on Wednesday. Musa Newman and Christian Pyagbara were the scorers for Akwa United.

Super Eagles forward Ibrahim Alhassan made a return to Akwa's first eleven after his spell with the national team. It was Wikki Tourists' 12th straight away loss in the NPFL this season. Akwa United took the lead in the 25th minute through Newman who scored from close range.

Pyagbara sealed the win for the hosts two minutes into added time. The win takes Akwa United to sixth on 36 points in the league table
