Stoke City winger Marko Arnautovic is
set to have a medical and discuss personal terms on Friday ahead of his
club-record move to West Ham. Arnautovic
is expected to become the highest-paid player at the club after signing a
five-year deal.
West Ham agreed a fee which could rise to £25m with Stoke
for Arnautovic on Tuesday, having previously failed with two earlier bids. The
Hammers are keen to get the deal finalised in time for the 28-year-old winger
to fly out with the rest of the squad on Monday for the pre-season tour of Germany.
If the Austria international passes a medical
and agrees personal terms, he would become manager Slaven Bilic's third signing of the summer following the arrivals
of goalkeeper Joe Hart and defender Pablo Zabaleta.
