West Ham are hoping to
finalise a deal to sign Manchester City
goalkeeper Joe Hart in the next few
days. The Hammers were stepping up their efforts to secure the signature of the
England international.
It is understood Hart would
join initially on loan with the option of making the move permanent next
summer. Hart has been expected to leave City
this summer after returning from a season-long loan at Serie A side Torino and admitted in May that he was
more than likely to move to another Premier League club.
West Ham have made only one
signing this summer, with defender Pablo
Zabaleta joining on a free transfer following his release from City. Manager
Slaven Bilic is also looking to
strengthen his attacking options ahead of the new Premier League season.
