#AHMusicReview: Tiwa Savage, Korede Bello and others on Absolute Hearts Music Review

First of let’s wish CDQ belated happy birthday, the NSNS rapper celebrated his birthday during the cause of the week, May 6th precisely. We also celebrate with Mavin Record Label as they celebrated 6 years in the industry on the 8th of May. We say a big congratulation to them both as we hope they will continue to give us more hits.
Now let’s go into what we have for you today;
1.      Korede Bello - Sote: Weeks after dropping Work It, Mavin artiste Korede Bello is back with another song titled Sote and this one right here was produced by Baby Fresh. As expected Baby Fresh put in a decent production effort and Korede Bello came through, not his best effort I must say but at the same time he didn’t do badly. The rating will be 7/10.

2.      Tiwa Savage - Tiwa's Vibes: Just days after winning Best Collabo at the #12Headies for the song Ma Lo (ft. Wizkid), Tiwa Savage decides to celebrate that victory with another dope song titled Tiwa's Vibes and this song was produced once again by Spellz who did a brilliant job on the production just like the song Ma Lo. After listening to this song I think it's safe to say that Tiwa and Spellz are onto something as they both know how to give us some good vibes. The rating of this song will be 8/10.

3.      Cynthia Morgan (aka Miranda) – Billion Dollar Woman: Finally Cynthia Morgan is back even though on her social media page she claimed she never left but hey she is here with a new single and we are happy about that. Billion Dollar Woman is the latest effort coming from Cynthia Morgan and for someone that has been away from the music scene for quite a long while I would say this isn’t the kind of jam that would fire her back to the spot light. Not to take anything away from this song, this is a decent jam which I am sure her fans will be thrilled with but then again this song will need massive publicity to go far. The Tony Ross produced song will have a 6/10.

4.      Wande Coal - So Mi So: The Black Diamond is back and on this one he gives us a dope highlife song which was produced by Juls. So Mi So is not your regular highlife song, this is a perfect blend of Afro highlife and Afro pop put together in one song, without any doubt Wande Coal just dropped another banger on us and this song will definitely top charts across the continent as the rating will be 9/10.

5.      Qdot - Atewo: Qdot makes a return with this song titled Atewo as he also jumps on the trending Shaku Shaku sound. As good as this could have been this is a straight forward lifting of Idowest ft. Slimcase's Omo Shepeteri beat, left to me I would have preferred if he called this song a cover because that is what it sound like. Plus this could just be me but the song isn’t properly mixed as there is really no blend or synchronization between the vocals and the beat itself. The rating will be 4/10.

6.      Sarkodie ft. Obarafuor - Hope (Brighter Day): Ghanaian finest and one of African best rapper, Sarkodie returns with another inspiring and motivating rap song titled Hope (Brighter Day) and as expected Sarkodie delivered but big credit has to go to Obarafuor, he vocals on that chorus was just exceptional and of course credit to JMJ for the beautiful production. The rating will be 8/10.

7.      Zlatan Ibile ft. Lil Kesh x Naira Marley - Jogor: Finally Zlatan Ibile drops his much anticipated single titled Jogor and on this one he features Lil Kesh x Naira Marley. This is another decent effort coming from Zlatan who has been impressive so far, the rating for this well produced track will be 8/10.

8.      Mystro x Wizkid - Immediately: Talented music producer Mystro is back with another dope song titled Immediately and on this one he combines efforts with Wizkid who also came through as expected. This is a good song in all ramifications, well produced, super instrumentals and wonderful vocals, the rating will be 9/10.

9.      HHP - Maftown Original: South African veteran rapper HHP is back with another song titled Maftown Original and as expected he didn’t disappoint as he provided us with a decent hip hop song with a 7/10 rating.

10.  CDQ - Jabbing: Another week another CDQ song and this time this Jay Pizzle and Magic produce track is titled Jabbing. This is another song that will do well in the streets as this is a heavy instrumental song with the concepts of Say Baba. The rating will be 8/10.

11.  Blaqbonez - Melanin Melody: Blaqbonez is back with another dope hip pop joint and I’m impressed. Melanin Melody, this is what I like to call hip pop blues, soft hip pop track that will give you that smooth feeling. Blaqbonez really came through on this as the rating will be 8/10.

12.  Teni – Lagos x Askamaya: Proving to us that her Rookie of the Year award at the just concluded #12headies isn’t a fluke Teni serves us with two new singles titled Lagos and Askamaya (produced by Spellz). Both songs are just a confirmation of not just how good a singer Teni is but also how talented she is as a song writer. Both songs are definitely songs that will do well on charts especially Askamaya which has a more groovy sound compared to Lagos which has a cool melodious  highlife sound. Both songs carry a, 8/10 rating each.

13.  Victoria Kimani - Wonka: Kenyan sensational singer Victoria Kimani is back on a Gospelonthebeatz produced song titled Wonka and I have to say she didn’t disappoint. Nice production from Gospelonthebeatz as Kimani made sure she did justice to the song and with the release of the video I am sure this song will go far, the rating will be 8/10.

14.  Skales ft. Yung L x Endia - Pass: As we prepare for the release of his third studio album, Skales continues to keep us on our toes as the baseline frontrunner release yet another single and on this Chopstixx produced jam he features Yung L x Endia. Pass is another decent effort coming from Skales and the rating will be 8/10.

15.  Ruth Oluwadamilola -Not A King But The King: fast rising singer Ruth Oluwadamilola who has being in the choir since her tender age is here with another song titled Not A King But The King. This is will be her first official single after the release of her first album which she released as a final year student at the University of Ekiti and I have to say she didn’t do badly, this is a decent song to worship the Lord, and the rating will be 7/10.
