Okay, we all knew Reeky's much anticipated album is dropping this year but he never told us he was going to take us all by surprise. Last update on the album was when Mavin boss himself, Don Jazzy, gave a hint about the album release but failed to give a specific date or the album's title.

Nigeria's quest to qualify for the 2018 World Cup in Russia is seriously threatened by the paucity of funds to prosecute the Super Eagles qualifying matches by the Nigeria Football Federation.  The country might even withdraw from the women' s Under-20 and Under-17 World Cup tournaments in Jordan next month and Papua New Guinea later in the year if there is no improvement in the financial situation in the football ruling body.

Focus Features has uprooted Juan Antonino Bayona’s A Monster Calls from its original October release date and thrust the fantasy flick directly into Oscar territory. Now on course to debut via select theaters on December 23 before expanding nationwide on January 6, the studio’s switcheroo can also be seen as a means of safeguarding Bayona’s hotly-anticipated adaptation from the competition.

Aero Contractors Airlines folds up indefinitely

Aero Contractors Airlines on Wednesday said that it would suspend all its scheduled services indefinitely from Thursday Sept. 1.
The airline’s Chief Executive Officer, Fola Akinkuotu, said in a statement in Lagos that the management decision was part of the strategic business realignment to reposition the airline and return it to the path of profitability.

Nigerian economy in recession - FG admits

The Nigerian economy is in recession, figures released by the National Bureau of Statistics officially confirmed Wednesday.
Although various government officials, notably the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Godwin Emefiele, and the Minister of Finance, Kemi Adeosun, had over a month ago said the economy was in “technical” recession, the official confirmation came with the release of the new figures.

The Central Bank of Nigeria on Wednesday re-instated the eight banks banned last week from operating in the country’s foreign exchange market.
The CBN Director, Banking Supervision Department, Tokunbo Martins, announced the reinstatement of the banks, after a meeting between chief executive officers of the affected banks and the Committee of Governors of the CBN under the auspices of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN).

Latest Development On Chris Brown's Felony Assault Investigation

 
Yesterday reports came in that Chris Brown was currently the subject of a felony assault investigation with a deadly weapon after a woman called 911 claiming the singer threatened her with a gun. The victim, later identified as Baylee Curran (Miss California Regional 2016), claimed Brown pointed a gun at her and threatened her. Lieutenant Chris Ramirez said the initial call came at 3 a.m. from the victim outside of the house.  A law enforcement source said that Curran came to the West Valley police station early Tuesday morning.
