Toure's Agent Urges Manchester City To Make Quick Decision On New Deal

Yaya Toure's agent has urged Manchester City to make a swift decision on the midfielder's future - or he will start talking to other clubs. The Ivorian has one year left on his current deal, but his agent, Dimitri Seluk, insists that Toure will start looking elsewhere if a new contract is not agreed in the coming week.

He said “We want to make a decision in one week. If not, we can start conversations with different clubs. Yaya prefers to stay. He likes Man City. He wants to stay in Manchester City. But if some people think we do this for the money - we rejected offer from China for example. If he leaves, he will not go to another English club

Speculation over a potential Toure departure intensified after the club announced that Pep Guardiola would take over as head coach in the summer. Guardiola was in charge of Barcelona when Toure was sold to City for £24m back in 2010, but Seluk wants a decision made before the Bayern Munich coach arrives.
