Lagos State to hold farewell match for late Stephen Keshi and Shuaibu Amodu’

The Lagos state government in partnership with the Sports Writer’s Association of Nigeria and the Nigeria Football Supporters Club have fixed have scheduled July 23, 2016 for the Lagos farewell testimonial for the late former Super Eagles handlers, Amodu Shuaibu and Stephen Keshi.

The game will be holding at the Teslim Balogun Stadium in Surulere, Lagos.
Lagos SWAN team will face the Supporters Club while the Super Eagles will battle the Lagos All Stars team in the main match of the day.
Keshi captained the Super Eagles to win the 1994 Africa Cup of Nations title and also led the team to win the same tournament – thus becoming the second man after Egypt’s Mohamed El Gohary to achieve such feat.
For Shuaibu, he led the country to two World Cups before passing away as the technical director of the Nigeria Football Federation.
