We Have A Lot To Learn

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp thinks his side still have a lot to learn after their 2-0 defeat at newly-promoted Burnley. Goals from Sam Vokes and Andre Gray handed Sean Dyche's side all three points despite the visitors having more than 80 per cent of the possession at Turf Moor.

Klopp insists his side still have some way to before they can claim to be the finished article. He said “There were a lot of moments that were really good without us having the last punch in the decisive moments. It's a process, we have to go and we know this. We've done a lot of work and I think you saw it. We have to accept how it was today. We have a lot to learn and it was nothing about attitude. We made our mistakes and that's obvious and we passed the ball in the wrong moments, but we had absolutely no luck and they had a little bit around the goals. But they deserved the win with a very passionate performance. We tried our best but it wasn't enough.”

In a game where Liverpool had the majority of the possession, Burnley, and Gray in particular, caused Liverpool's back four all sorts of problems on the counter-attack. However, Klopp has backed the defenders in his squad despite their poor performance at Turf Moor.
