#AHMusicReview: Kizz Daniel, Idowest, others on this week's Absolute Hearts Music Review

During the week, on Wednesday night precisely the street got a big win as fast rising street artiste Idowest got signed to Davido’s DMW label, we say congratulation to him as we wish him success. During the cause of the week. Also, Fly Boi Inc frontrunner Kiss Daniel change his stage name from Kiss Daniel to Kizz Daniel though there hasn’t been any official statement to this effect (as at when writing this) but all his social media handles now reflect the new name as his manager Ubi Franklin also confirmed the change of name.
And lastly before we go into today’s review let also mention that the new Adekunle Gold album About 30 is out, also that of DJ Neptune, Greatness and both were released on the same day 25th May 2018. Make sure you visit this our blog for our official review of both albums.

Now let’s go into what we have for you today;

1.      Solidstar ft. Mr. Real –Allow: After teasing us for a while on Instagram, Solidstar finally release his much anticipated single with Mr. Real titled Allow. This is another decent song coming from Solidstar, groovy with decent production and just to add, this isn’t a Shaku Shaku song as you might think. The rating will be 7/10.

2.      Yung6ix - Everything Gucci: self-acclaimed King of the South and obviously one of the best rappers in the country, Yung6ix is back with another single. Everything Gucci is the typical kind of rap song we have heard 6ix do over the years and as expected the south south rapper didn’t disappoint. The Ckay produced song will have a 7/10 rating

3.      Burna Boy -Agbada: As he prepares for his “Outside Tour”, Burna Boy drops his first official single after the release of his Outside EP. Agbada is one of those usual Burna Boy classic songs as this is a song that his fans and good music lovers will enjoy, the rating will be 7/10.

4.      Ric Hassani ft. Fiokeee - Sweetest Thing: This is a collaboration I have been personally waiting for and now we have it. Songwriter and singer Ric Hassani comes through on this beautiful created song titled Sweetest Thing and he features the ever amazing guitarist Fiokee and together they gave us a classic 8/10 song which was produced by DJ Coublon. This is one of those alternative songs that will definitely get you into that groovy mood, as it is what I like to call alternative highlife, which basically is a blend of highlife and alternative sounds.

5.      L.A.X ft. Wizkid - Nobody: After teasing us for days Rasaki CEO L.A.X finally drops his anticipated and long overdue collabo with his former boss Wizkid and this song is titled Nobody. As produced by Altims, Nobody is another dope song coming from L.A.X who has given us nothing but good songs this year and this one isn’t an exemption though I have to say the baseline beat of this song sounds familiar to that of his previous Gbefun. The rating will be 8/10.

6.      Mr Eazi: As we await his much talked about sophomore album Lagos to London, Mr. Eazi drops two new singles to wet our appetite as to have an idea of what the album will sound like. The first single titled Overload sees Eazi jumping on the Shaku Shaku sound which was also infused with some Ghanaian sounds and he features two of the best Shaku Shaku singers Slimcase and Mr. Real and together they gave us a very dope song  and the E.Kelly produced song will have a 8/10 rating. The second single is titled London Town and on this brain bursting song he features London rapper Giggs, this is a fire jam as Eazi serves us some hot London sound, this song will definitely go far as Eazi outdid himself on this one. The rating will be 9/10.

7.      Korede Bello - 2geda: I have to say this is the best conscious song I have heard since Tekno's Rara and I even have to say if you listen closely to this song you will hear a bit of similarity between the productions of both songs. 2geda is also the best song Korede Bello has released this year, not only because it is a conscious song with a very vital message but also because Altims really really really came through on the production, mad instrumentals. The rating of the song will be a perfect 10//10.

8.      Harrysong ft. Kizz Daniel x Reekado Banks - Selense: Harrysong return with another song titled Selense and he features Kizz Daniel x Reekado Banks. Selense has the same concept with one of his hit song Arabako, just that the beat is slightly different and the story of course is very much different. Harrysong once again shows us how much of a creative writer he is on this song as Kizz Daniel x Reekado Banks also came through. The rating will be 8/10.

9.      Henry Knight - Kowepe: HK like he likes to be called is back with a dope song titled Kowepe. This is a decent dancehall song with a very good production and the rating will be 8/10.

10.  Yemi Alade - How I Feel: Yemi Alade, who has been on tour since the release of her Black Magic, finally drops her official single for the year and this one is titled How I Feel. The song which isn’t what we would normally expect from her but also not beyond her, was produced by Egar boi and it is a pretty decent smooth melody song with a 7/10 rating.
