Miss Adefowora Olaide emerge Most Beautiful Girl in Iba 2018

After months of preparation and anticipation, Iba Community and it’s environment was held to a standstill as a new queen was crowned on the night of  September 30th 2018.

It was indeed a night of glamour and glitz as Vive Koncepts held its second edition of the Most Beautiful Girl in Iba 2018. This event which took place at the Event Gallery, Lasu Isheri Road Ipaye bus stop, Iba, Ojo, Lagos State, started off with a red carpet session which was covered by IC Media Entertainment, who was part of the sponsors of the event. 

Special guests who include; Ezewuzie Ozioma Lucy (Most Beautiful Girl Imo State 2018), Bello Olaide Munirat (MBGI Top Model 2016), Kujore Kourtney Kehinde (MBGI Tourism 2016), Williams Chinyere (MBGI Queen 2016), artiste Braynevic, Highzik, Olusholaiba, and even the judges stormed the red carpet and it was fun while it lasted.

The event which was hosted by HaFeesto’Nova and Hope Odabi, officially kicked off few minutes past 6pm with an opening prayer from one of the audience before Mr. Charles, a member of the organizing committee, gave the opening speech. After that, the hosts took a little time out to appreciate the sponsors of the event which include Wilson Juice Company, Absolute Hearts Media, Swoosh Collections, Silver Rays Cosmetics, Numatville, Jodela Integrated Service, G'Ben Fashion Spar, Gabriel Tosh Creations, Afrokanist Magazine (UK base) Masvi & Sons Nig. Ltd, Anjo80, Event Gallery, Hidden Truth Media, Vive Modelling Academy, Naija Vibe Media, First Step Modelling Academy, Amv Entertainment Media, Exceeding Grace Photography.

This was quickly followed by two hot performances by one of the guest artistes Da Pro, whose energetic performance got the crowd dancing and that was quickly followed by what many people referred to as the performance of the night, the dance performances by The Exodus Dance Group, the group of four young boys, literally got everyone applauding and they received a standing ovation after their performance.

The energy in the room only got higher when the 21 contestants finally made their 1st appearance for the night, putting on their causal wear and from that moment onward, the judges, Benson Oyinlola Oluwatosin and Okwara Veronica knew it wasn't going to be an easy task. After the contestants left the stage, Ms. Veronica came out to address the audience on what they will be expecting from the contestants and after that, a series of performances and award presentations were followed. Mercy Johnson Okojie was awarded Outstanding Actress Of The Decade, Nkechi Blessing Sunday was given Best Yoruba Actress, Kujore Kourtney Kehinde (MBGI Tourism 2016) was given best Fast Rising Actresses Of The Year, just to mention a few.

The next time the contestants came out, it was in their traditional outfit, divided in groups, they represented the Yoruba, Igbo, Hausa and South South tribes. Shortly after that the contestants came back on stage with their dinner gown and the first elimination was done, as the contestants were now reduced to 15.

Another series of performances followed as another guest artiste from Aqulia Records, Mallow Reelz, brought in so much energy, the audience couldn't help to scream for more. Finally the contestants came back on stage and it was time to know those with the brains, which was also a criteria used by the judges. At the end of this, the 10 top were picked.

Finally the moment everyone was waiting for came, the host handled over the mic to the judge’s one last t time as they announced the winner of the Most Beautiful Girl In Iba 2018. Out of the remaining 10 contestants, the following seven were selected as the top seven with the top three among them being the winner, 1^st runner up and second runner up.

it was close to an uproar when Miss Adefowora Olaide was announced as the Most Beautiful Girl In Iba 2018, friends, families and well-wishers rushed on to the stage to show their support to the new queen who was still in total shock as she couldn’t believe she has emerge the winner, when given the mic to say a few words she said “I’m surprise and very happy, I wasn’t expecting to win but I’m very happy to have won….”. She said with tears of joy rolling down her face.

Finally the stage was cleared and the outgoing queen was given the chance to finally crown the new queen, at exactly 10pm, the host gave the vote of thanks and the event was official brought to an end.
