Wil Traval Joins Arrow Season 5

 
Wil Traval played damaged, pill-popping police officer Will Simpson in the first season of Marvel and Netflix’s Jessica Jones, but it seems the actor is preparing to jump ship to DC for a much more heroic role.  According to TV Line, Traval will play Christopher Chance, AKA Human Target, in season 5 of The CW’s Arrow.

The gloves are off in this new, extended clip for Snowden and we’re not talking about the whistleblower’s crusade against the NSA. All-new snippet shifts focus to the human element of Oliver Stone’s long-awaited drama, teeing up a political debate between Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Shailene Woodley on the grounds of the capital. It’s a nice tease, and already we’re sensing a natural dynamic developing between the film’s two leading stars.

Michael Pena Joins “The Bringing”

 
Michael Pena has agreed terms to join The Bringing, a new horror-thriller that’s entered pre-production over at Columbia Pictures and Sony. Jeremy Lovering is reportedly circling the director’s chair, chronicling the story of Elisa Lam, a woman who was found dead on the rooftop of the Cecil Hotel in Downtown Los Angeles under suspicious circumstances. Pena is on board to play the man tasked with unravelling that mystery, and considering that CCTV footage of Elisa’s perplexing death later went viral, we don’t envy him.

Back when we first learned that the third Avengers movie would be a two-part event, sharing the Infinity War subtitle, it was widely assumed that the closing chapter in Marvel’s Phase Three would be a sprawling blockbuster too ambitious to be contained in a single film. The Russo Brothers later teased that both of the movies’ subtitles would change to reflect the story. Disney then announced a more drastic plan, confirming that the third movie is now called Avengers: Infinity War and the fourth Avengers is… well, untitled.

Passports Of Three Irish Olympic Officials Seize

 
Brazilian police have seized passports, computers, mobile phones and tickets from three Olympic Council of Ireland members. The OCI confirmed in a statement on Sunday that, following the raid on their offices and accommodation in Rio, police had found an allocation of unused Rio 2016 tickets, which had been made available for athletes' families and friends. 

Referee Stops Game Over Racist Chanting

 
Sporting Gijon's game against Athletic Bilbao had to be stopped by the referee when home fans began to chant racist abuse at Bilbao's Inaki Williams. Referee Clos Gomez suspended play temporarily before the 30-minute mark upon hearing racist chants from a section of the Gijon crowd towards the 22years old Spanish player.

Olympics End With Spectacular Closing Ceremony

 
The Rio Olympics wrapped up with a stunning closing ceremony as Tokyo was handed hosting duties for 2020. Thousands of fans braved strong winds and rain to watch the carnival-inspired event in the Maracana Stadium on Sunday to conclude the 16-day sporting showpiece that featured 11,303 athletes from 206 nations and a refugee team.
