FG begins shortlisting applicants for 500,000 NPower jobs - Information minister

The Federal Government has commenced shortlisting candidates for the 500,000 jobs it promised.
The Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, said this on Wednesday in Abuja when a delegation of the National Council for Women’s Societies (NCWS) paid him a courtesy visit in his office.

Online social networking service Twitter has finally made an update by changing the way it counts the 140 characters in tweets. The new update ensures that attachments such as photos, videos, polls, GIFs and quoted tweets, are no longer counted as part of the 140 characters limit. Hence Twitter users can now share more.

Varvara Lepchenko has escaped punishment after being found to have committed an anti-doping offence by taking meldonium. The American, who was born in Uzbekistan, tested positive for the substance, which was added to the banned list on January 1, during in-competition drug testing at the Brisbane International a week after the ban came into action and on three other occasions.
