FIFA Congratulate Enyimba On Record Winning Title

The interim president of FIFA, Issa Hayatou has congratulated Enyimba Football Club of Aba for winning the Nigerian Professional Football League for a record seventh time.

In a letter to the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF), Hayatou acknowledged Enyimba’s contribution to world football. This is what the FIFA letter says “It gives me great pleasure to send my heartfelt congratulations to Enyimba and their indomitable team on this great achievement. This title is the result of the determination of everyone involved and my congratulations go to the players, the coach, the entire technical and medical staff, and the fans. On behalf of the entire football family, I would like to thank Enyimba for helping to spread the positive message of football”.

Enyimba chairman Felix Anyansi Agwu thanked the football governing body and promised that the 2014/2015 Glo Premier League champions will continue to pursue the values of fair play and sportsmanship. Enyimba will represent Nigeria in next year’s CAF Champions League to make it their ninth appearance in the tournament, they have won it twice 2003 and 2004. Their last appearance wasn't a good one as they went out in the first round.
