West Ham have completed the signing of Andre Ayew from Swansea for a club record fee. The Ghana forward has signed a three-year deal with a two-year option and becomes the club's ninth summer signing.

Namibian boxer Jonas Junius has been arrested on suspicion of a sexual assault in the Olympic Village, Rio police have confirmed. Junius, a light-welterweight who was due to fight Hassan Amzile in the first round on Thursday, has been detained after allegedly attempting to grab and kiss a maid.

Cycling Star Melissa Hoskins In Hospital

 
Australian cycling star Melissa Hoskins was taken from the Rio Olympics velodrome on a stretcher after her pursuit team suffered a heavy crash during training. The 25years old was riding at high speed with team-mates Ashlee Ankudinoff, Georgia Baker, Amy Cure and Annette Edmondson when four of the five riders hit the boards on turn three.

New Manchester City head coach Pep Guardiola is one of the few people who can change English football according to former Barcelona captain Xavi Hernandez. Guardiola took over at City earlier this summer, the Catalan had previously spent three seasons in charge at Bayern Munich, during which time he won three consecutive Bundesliga titles, and four campaigns at the helm of his boyhood club Barca. HBO To Examine Black Flags


As a collaborative pair, they may well be best known for their comedic output, but Bradley Cooper and Todd Phillips are about to get very serious indeed. The duo have snapped up the rights to the 2016 Pulitzer Prize-winning non-fiction book, Black Flags: The Rise Of ISIS, by Joby Warrick, and have a miniseries version in development with HBO. The source material will be adapted by Gregg Hurwitz, and the episodes of Black Flags will be directed by Tim Van Patten.

HBO may have recently cancelled Togetherness, but the network has no intention of splitting from that show’s creators, Jay and Mark Duplass. The prolific brothers will soon deliver another HBO comedy show in the form of Room 104 – an anthology series with a stunningly simple premise.
